me : 31+ months of wrk ex in IT telecom
First of all the institute name is IMT or some thing don't know why they call it HMATC (at least no cab driver was able to tell where this place is) .
It started with a document verification process, where an old chap was calculating your marks to third decimal accuracy.
First round was an essay the topic was "Sanity it the process of defining real from unreal. We need a new definition now". They gave us 4 pages to write 2 minutes to think and 12 minutes to write.
Than they divided us in 3 panels for GD. My panel had 7 members. They asked to sit on some predefined sequence. A case is given to us which discussed influence of weather and culture on attire. Indian man prefers western attire now while woman still go with traditional. Do indian man need to learn from woman. We discussed every thing except this learning part. I tried to bring the discussion on this but ahh the lady called stop by than :(.
I was the first guy to get interviewed. There were two people a male prof (M), lady prof (L). Here is a brief
L: what do you think abt the GD.
me: bla bla
L: Was it good
me: yes we can say
L: But you guys hardly discussed abt the learning part
me: yes bla bla
L: so what you do in your company
me: bla bla (my company sell telecom billing products)
M: so you are a kind of BPO
me: NO ways
L: but your clients are out sourcing billing to you which is not there core job. so its a BPO
me: in that sense we can say its a BPO
L: so what you do
me: bla bla
M: why you IT guys use so much of jargons . We are not able to get any thing
me : explained billing using example of internet
M: so what is IP address
me : bla bla
M: so one day we will be out of the possible IP add
me : yes so is IP v 6
M: what is IP v 6
me: bla bla
M: so are we using 6 now
me : no we are still in migration
M: why ppl use so much of java now a days. its importance and efficiency in embedded systems. comparison with c .
me : bla bla
M: so what will you bring to the table.
me: bla bla + some telecom
M: but you have hardly did any thing in telecom
me: I know CDMA + telecom billing
M: so you did any thing in statistical analysis of billing or some thing
me: nopes :(
M: so how you guys sends the bill as a print out or mail attachment
me: both the options are possible
L: so what did you teach (I mentioned that as my hobby )
me: some bakar
L: what is handwriting analysis (again my hobby)
me : some science to understand the unconscious human behavior
M: but it cant be proved so not a science
me: yes its based on observation
M: any empirical statistics
me: nopes
M: so its a quack science
me: :( nooooooo
M: so can we take you based on your essay handwriting
me: nopes it is a tool. Can't be the lone determinant
M: one final call yes or no
me: yes
L: where do you see your self 10 yrs from now
me: bakar bakar
